Every lifelong learner of English is welcome to use our blogs. You don’t need to be a member of EOI.
How To Post. Anyone can 1. click on the title of each existing thread, and read all of its contents (the starting message and the comments it may have) and then 2. fill in two slots at the bottom: the required information of a name (any name) and an email, and then type your text in the box. Last but not least, don’t forget to click on the button called Submit to post your message! Notice this: when you post you are assigned a graphic image, an avatar. This is an automatic service offered by WordPress, i.e. we don’t pick those avatars.
Only members and old members of this blog can register as Contributors or Authors of these blogs. To become a Contributor or an Author, you need to ask to be “invited” — this means getting an email from us. Following its instructions, after a couple of clicks, you’ll be in. When you are a Contributor or an Author the first thing you do when checking out the blog address is scroll to the bottom and click “Login“. Then you type in your username and password. Then you’ll have access to a little control panel, the inside of the blog, where you can start threads and upload your personal avatar, for instance. If you just want to reply to existing posts, click on the text that says “Visit site” or “Go to Blog”…
Teachers in our Department can post as individuals or by using the collective username “Teachers”. To use this nickname you need to login first and type our agreed username and password. To use your personal name, you need to become Authors and then login with that personal information.
Tip for everybody: When you finish typing your message, you should keep a copy till you see you posted it succesfully. What to do: Before clicking on Submit, select all your text first, then click on the right side of your mouse, then select “Copiar” or “Copy”. Then you can Submit your post. If your computer crashes, you can retrieve your message by clicking again on the right side of your mouse and selecting “Pegar” or “Paste”.
